Forensic Medicine

About Department:

The department of Forensic Medicine came into existence since the inception of college.  It is situated on the third floor, east wing of the college building with adequate space as per MCI norms. The department aims to provide academic guidance for undergraduates about the laws in relation to medical practice and characteristics of various poisoning.

Vision

   To impart the knowledge of law in relation to medical practice, code of ethics and evidence       based scientific approach to manage medico legal issues.

 Mission

• To provide understanding of medico legal issues in medical practice.
• To provide understanding of code of conduct and medical ethics.
• To provide knowledge to manage medical and legal issues in case of poisoning / overdose.
• To provide knowledge for understanding of the rational approach to the investigation of crime based on scientific and legal principles.
• To provide knowledge about characteristic findings of various poisoning.
